A winner; that is who you are.

Dieter Kurtenback, Fox News sport writer, was so sure of himself when he wrote few weeks back “The Cavaliers cannot win these NBA Finals. Frankly, they’d be lucky to win a game.” He was wrong! After 52 years without a professional sports victory, LeBrown James led the Cleveland Cavaliers to a 93-89 win over the Golden State Warriors in a dramatic Game seven triumph on the 19th of June, 2016. Clearly Cavaliers won because of their captain who said after the game “I gave everything I had. I poured my heart, my sweat, my tears into this game…” Like Cavaliers became victorious because of James, we too are already victorious because of Jesus. He humbled himself, suffered and shed His blood for us to be winners.  So, it doesn’t matter what you are up against, you must not forget that you are conqueror and a winner. One of the Words of our LORD that speaks about our ultimate victory is this: “I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish” As long as we are one of the ‘them’, we have the faith that overcomes. An anonymous writer wrote “You are plugged into the living Christ, into God, and your future is guaranteed that you will win. Long before God laid down earth’s foundations, God had you in mind, had settled on you as the focus of his love, to be made whole and holy by his love. Long, long ago God decided to adopt you into his family through Jesus Christ.” This week, see yourself in God’s eyes, God has created you to be a winner. Amen.
