Last month was a ‘certification month’ for me. I surprised myself by completing three food safety certifications (PCQI, SQF and HACCP). I couldn’t have done this without God’s strength and wisdom. I give glory to Him. I am also grateful for my research grant out which I paid the training and exam fees. Getting multiple certifications is easy when the cost of doing so is not coming from your savings or pocket. However, if you need to pay by yourself to get a certification or attend a course, never begrudge the money you spend on your education. I hope, your investment in your education and learning will soon produce for you many wonderful benefits and opportunities. Certifications may help us to learn important concepts, advance in our career, become a better teacher and ultimately help us to have great performance and continue to win. Apart from certifications, I have also learned immensely from attending local and international conferences. God willing, I will be attending International Association for Food Protection Annual meeting in Toronto, Ontario Canada later in the year. For me learning is everything, whether attending formal training, reading or having conversation with others, I am always looking for every opportunity to learn. What about you?
