As followers of Christ, it’s crucial to constantly remind ourselves that while we reside in this world, our ultimate identity and allegiance transcend earthly concerns. It’s easy to lose sight of our heavenly calling and succumb to becoming Christians who prioritize fleeting, worldly gains over eternal rewards.
God’s intention for us is to be devout believers who cherish the heavenly realm, directing our affections toward things above. This doesn’t mean neglecting our responsibilities on earth, but rather, it entails a conscious choice to avoid fixating on the pursuit of transient pleasures and material accumulation.
A true Heaven-loving Christian remains detached from the allure of physical desires, refrains from an insatiable craving for possessions, and steadfastly resists the societal pressure to obsess over personal status or importance.
Aim at heaven and you will get earth thrown in. Aim at earth and you get neither. C.S. Lewis
