1 Peter 2: 24 (By His stripes you were healed) is my go to Bible verse when I need to pray for myself or others to be healed by God. Recently I was thinking about migraine that I used to suffer from. I don’t experience it again. God has healed me. Praise God! God is always ready and able to heal us but sometimes it may not be instantaneous like in my case. When we have delay in getting an answer to our prayer for healing or to overcome any other problem, we should keep on praying, praising God, immersing ourselves in the Word of God and focusing on God not our problems. Then, suddenly or gradually a miracle will happen. Charles Spurgeon writes “Go to Jesus right now and tell Him your problem. We can’t be sure that the Lord will immediately remove all disease from those we love, yet prayer is more likely to bring about healing than anything else. Where this does not happen, we must meekly bow to the Lord’s will. He is the One who determines life and death.”
