There are two types of people in the world. The glass half-full and glass half-empty people. I encourage you to be a glass half-full person. Becoming a glass half-full person i.e., an optimistic person has nothing to do with changing your status, location or country, it has everything to do with your mindset. You should train yourself to have a positive outlook wherever you find yourself since there is no perfect place or country in this world anyway. Take for example, it was one of the best countries in the world, United States that I was mugged in 2016. That didn’t happen to me in Africa. However, I am grateful that the thief returned my ID and International Passport. I only lost $170 and some dollar coins. I have sometimes wondered why God allowed it to happen. Perhaps He allowed it to happen so I could have an initiative that will reach out to troubled young African Americans some day…An important question to ask is how does one become a glass-half full person especially during tough times? Two of the ways to live a life with a glass-half full mindset are to change how you look at things and to see opportunities where many don’t. And this is less difficult to do especially for those of us who believe that “every detail of our lives is continually woven together to fit into God’s perfect plan of bringing good into our lives, for we are His lovers who have been called to fulfill His designed purpose.”
