Once, a poor Chinese woman ventured into the foothills to gather grass, carrying her baby on her back while her little child walked beside her. Upon reaching the pinnacle of a hill, a terrifying roar echoed through the air. Startled, she turned around and witnessed a tigress leaping towards her, followed by her two cubs. This illiterate woman had never received formal education or attended any church services, but she once heard a missionary speak about Jesus, who could offer help in times of trouble. As the tiger’s claws tore into her arm, she pleaded, “Oh Jesus, please help me!” Astonishingly, the tiger abruptly ceased its attack and fled.
What kind of “beasts” are currently attacking you? While it may not be a wild tiger, you might find yourself besieged by doubts, fears, worries, loneliness, or despair. In such moments, call out to Jesus, and rest assured that He will answer you, just as He did when the desperate cry of the Chinese woman reached His ears and was promptly answered.
“He will give His angels charge of you to guard you in all your ways.” Scripture
