As a leader, it is essential to embody the virtue of hospitality, especially for Christians. In the early days of Christianity, it was common for traveling evangelists and teachers to be welcomed and supported by fellow Christians who provided them with shelter and nourishment. Extending invitations for communal meals is a wonderful practice, whether it’s to visitors, fellow church members, young individuals, or those in need. In today’s world, where many people battle with loneliness, the act of extending hospitality is all the more significant.
Furthermore, God calls us to be openhanded, considerate, and welcoming not only to fellow believers but also to those who may not share our faith. Through our acts of friendship and hospitality, we have the potential to lead some non-Christians to Christ.
