The first time I travelled to USA in 2009, I attended a church in St Paul Minnesota where members go home with food supplies. People living close to the church also came to pick some items. I was so amazed with the amount of food available that I asked myself how I could transport them to Africa. I thought, we needed the food more in my continent which sadly, accounted for more than half of the global total of acutely food-insecure people in the world. However, it was not until 2020 when South Africa was about going into Covid19 lock down that I started distributing food parcels for those on the streets and I have been doing it by the grace of God every day. But I want you to join me. That is why I have started www.saintsfoodprogram.com, a platform that seeks to significantly reduce hunger through partnership with local food retailers and food producers. On our platform, food givers will be able to buy from food retailers/producers and send them to churches that have food programs, soup kitchens and individuals that need food. We won’t be able to multiply few loaves and fishes to feed thousands of people like Jesus Christ but we can feed billions of people around the world through His love in our heart. We can determine not to sleep every day until we have shared our food with at least one person. Join us and let’s make sure there is food for all.
Appreciation
A big thank you to UC Davis Mike & Renee Child Institute for Innovation & Entrepreneurship & Harvard Business School for being among the factors that have influenced my effectuation and entrepreneurial intention.
UC Davis helped to build my entrepreneurial mindset after attending Food & Health Entrepreneurship Academy in 2010 at their campus.
At the beginning of Sustainable Business Strategy course (Harvard Business School) last year, Prof Rebecca M. Henderson asked this question: Take a moment to reflect and answer the following questions with your team: What problems keep you up at 4 AM? Is there anything you are currently doing, or wish you could do to help solve these problems?…
