Some individuals firmly deny the existence of a singular God, while others advocate for diverse paths to the God. It’s akin to discussing numerous bridges over a chasm, but when you’re determined to cross, you must commit to one bridge.
Those who argue for multiple paths to God typically fall into one of these categories:
- They haven’t personally committed to any specific path and are surprised that their belief in multiple ways doesn’t exempt them from choosing one.
- Their belief in “many ways to God” may conceal their true conviction that finding God doesn’t matter at all.
- They’re convinced that advocating for “many ways to God” safeguards them from being wrong, assuming that their general belief includes the correct path.
- They’ve concluded that embracing “many ways to God” requires less effort than sincerely exploring the claims of various religious systems.
The fundamental truth remains: humanity is separated from God by sin and requires a Savior, a bridge to traverse the chasm of sin and return to God. The sole Mediator who can bridge this gap between us and God is Jesus, who is both divine and human. Through His sacrifice, Jesus has brought new life to all of humanity. Have you allowed Him to bridge the divide between you and God?
“For there is one God and one Mediator between God and men, the Man Christ Jesus.” 1 Timothy 2:5
