Standing on the promenade at Umhlanga rocks beach on the last Freedom Day in South Africa, I took my time to observe the beautiful scenery around me including the light house and several buildings such as Beverly Hills, Umhlanga Sands Resolt and Peals of Umhlanga. I thought about the people that imagined and created the edifices. A quote by William Arthur Ward came to mind i.e., “If you can imagine it, you can create it. If you can dream it, you can become it.” The late American motivational writer was right. All of us may not be able to imagine and create the magnificent buildings like the architects and structural engineers have done at Umhlanga rocks, but we all have God’s inventive ability that can allow us to create things. For some of us, it may be a book, a poem, a song or a music video, an art work, a valuable product, a start up, an app or even a digital currency like Bitcoin created in January 2009 by ‘Satoshi Nakamoto.’ John Maxwell said “Creation and creativity birth anticipation and new ideas, or new ways of doing things, seeing things, perceiving things, appreciating things. Creating and being creative can jumpstart positivity, and a belief in the possibility of good things. Creative people always believe in finding an answer.” Profound. Today, understand that because you are created in the image of God, you are a creative person with good imagination power and so, never stop creating.
