I recently read Paul Virr’s book – Trailblazers Albert Einstein, The Greatest Mind in Physics.  Paul described vividly Albert’s childhood, scientific discoveries, advocacies as well as his marital life. I found the book about the revolutionary physicist and scientific genius fascinating. Also, the book reminded me of Einstein’s two quotes “Imagination is more important than knowledge’ and ‘all I have done is ask a few questions.”  After reading Paul’s book, I decided to find out Einstein’s view about Christianity and Christ. During my search on Google, I came across what he said when he was once asked to what extent he was influenced by Christianity. “As a child I received instruction both in the Bible and in the Talmud. I am a Jew, but I am enthralled by luminous figure of the Nazarene.” He said.  When he was asked whether he accepted the historical existence of Jesus, he replied, “Unquestionably! No one can read the Gospels without feeling the actual presence of Jesus. His personality pulsates in every word. No myth is filled with such life.” However, Einstein saw himself as an agnostic. Neither did he believe in life after death, saying “one life is enough for me.”  Einstein is a reminder that one can be very smart and intelligent and yet find it difficult to really know the most important person – Jesus Christ. The knowledge of who Jesus Christ is, is the greatest knowledge because it is the saving knowledge. Those who have this knowledge are indeed blessed, wise and intelligent.
