I’ve been studying the Book of Revelation this month. To fully understand the end times, one must delve into both the Book of Daniel and Revelation, while also seeking guidance from sound Biblical teachers.
From my understanding, the events leading up to Christ’s second coming begin with the Rapture, where believers who have died will be resurrected, and those still alive will be caught up to meet Christ in the air. This period will last for seven years. During this time in heaven, believers will stand before the Bema seat of Christ, where they will either receive rewards for their faithful works or experience loss for unfaithfulness.
Meanwhile, back on earth, a time of great tribulation will unfold. The world will be under the control of the Antichrist, and no one will be able to buy or sell without taking his mark—the infamous 666. Receiving this mark signifies allegiance to the Antichrist and leads to eternal condemnation. However, those who refuse the mark and place their faith in Christ, even if it costs them their lives, will ultimately be saved.
At the end of the seven years, Christ will return to earth, defeat the forces of evil, and cast Satan into the bottomless pit. Jesus will then establish His millennial reign, ruling over the earth for a thousand years. During this time, the remnant of Israel will turn to Christ and be saved, fulfilling God’s promises to His people.
After the thousand years, Satan will be released for a short time to deceive the nations once more, leading them into a final rebellion. But Christ will swiftly crush this uprising, casting Satan and his followers into the lake of fire, along with anyone whose name is not written in the Book of Life.
This will be followed by the creation of a new heaven and a new earth, where God’s kingdom will fully manifest. The reign of Christ will encompass the entire world, signifying the ultimate and eternal victory of God over all powers and principalities. Thus, the kingdom of this world will become the kingdom of our Lord and His Christ, and He will reign forever and ever.
