What is the most beautiful city you have ever visited? Mine is Edinburgh, the capital of Scotland. I visited Edinburgh in December 2018. The city, home to magnificent architecture, is one of the most attractive and prettiest cities in the world. I couldn’t visit its number one tourist attraction – Edinburgh Castle, a historic fortress built in 11th century. Hopefully, I would visit the fortress next time I have opportunity to be in United Kingdom. Another beautiful place I would like to visit in Europe is Tuscany, an Italian region home to some of the earth’s most recognizable Renaissance art and architecture. It’s diverse natural landscape includes the rocky Apennine Mountains, the island of Elba’s beaches on the Tyrrhenian Sea and Chianti’s olive groves and vineyards. I believe you too will be able to explain what is special about the beautiful city you have visited however there is no earthly city that can be compared in all ramifications to God’s celestial city – the one the Biblical Abraham expectantly and confidently looked forward to. This is the Biblical description of the city: “The construction of the city’s wall was of japer; and the city was pure gold, like clear glass…The street of the city was pure gold, like transparent glass.” Let’s be like Abraham by always looking forward to this incomparable city.
